I TOOK A WALK...

I took a walk yesterday
With my GPS in hand
"Oh nothing", I'd say
While searching out the land

Only fifty-foot accuracy
Scratching my head as I look
Testing psychic ability
"Have to sign that book"

Stubbed my toe on a rock
Sat down in desperation
Discover cache to my shock
Had to stiffle my exclamation

Couldn't let the muggles find
Just what I've been up to
May say "You stay da kine?"
While I might think it's true

Cruizin' and 'Caching to the North Shore

My good friend, CRider and I went for a ride up to the country! It was fun though we only found five geocaches out of ten hunted. I saw a few special sights that I've never seen before. Starting at Winward Community College for two ingenious and well hidden hides that we found. We then went into the wilds of Kualoa Park where tragedy struck when while hiking through some very tall grass. I looked down and noticed a small clip on my belt was empty... Oh No "Blue"! I yelled like Tom Hanks did for "Wilson". Blue was my first and only GPSr I've owned. Oh well, I guess it's just natural selection on when to upgrade. HaHa! The next notable spot was at Laie Lookout. We climbed down near the water and there are small beautiful caves and a geocache we found down there. Had fun talking with tourists and taking their pictures. A really great day stopping at different places along the shore. We even took a break and ate Kahuku grown shrimp plate lunches. Yumm! Working our way north and along the shore it eventually became the "North Shore". Checked out the boats and Hale'iwa Town. Oh and by the way... it's been hot and muggy so far and now it begins to rain. Incredible! It's cooled down just in time for the drive through the middle of the island. Lots of talking and an all around exciting geocaching kind a day.

NEED A BUDDY...

Prelude: My friend Dolango turned me onto Geocaching in Jan. '05. But he lives on the mainland, so I didn't know the group of cachers here. Great bunch! Have made lots of new friends.

Need a buddy to hike with
Don't want to go it alone
To see the beauty of the land
Chickenskin to the bone

And that's not the only goal
To find the cache in it's place
Is a triumph of a kind
Sure puts a smile on my face

To get back out there is a must
I'm asking the powers that be
Anxiously looking to the future
What will happen, I will see
