Memories...
I went for a terrific Geocaching hike with two Great Buddies today! They are Off-Roader and SilverSurfer73. We hiked up the Manana Trail in light rain and found four geocaches along the way. We created a Great memory of today while my favorite find was named "Memories" by CRider. I brought along this picture I compiled of Tania Cummings and I. She and I grew up across the street from eachother and she's the girl that I had my first crush on. I wish her all the very Best!

Clean up of Lili'uokalani's Playground
I organized a park clean up day. Mrs. Menehune helped beyond the call of duty. 30+ Geocachers came out to help, they also went above and beyond.
Lili'uokalani Botanical Garden was the objective and it needed some TLC. We all worked hard and created two large piles of trash along with an old mattress from the stream. Sulu (Mrs. Menehune) and I arrived at 9am to set up and hide the temporary raffle cache named "Life After Death". After a couple of hours it was time to wash up and share lunch. Everyone brought alot of food and we all enjoyed our time together. I started a "Storyteller of the year" contest and what a blast that was! Spawn, a nice young lady won the prize of a Memories Photo Album. The raffle mat had wonderful donated items too. I actually ended up with a brand new T-shirt from Fiji! It was a terrific day of caring and sharing Hawaii together. Gotta love Geocaching... and Geocachers!
Big Mahalos to all involved.

PRINCE CHARMING THE DRAGON SLAYER
When every man was just a boy
Our dreams were of more than a toy
Prince Charming The Dragon Slayer
Hero, not just any player
Of this and more it seemed was true
and then one day out of the blue
We realized we missed the mark
Then sat down and cried in the dark
We had become beaten or bored
Many suggestions hadn't scored
We then yelled "Where's the adventure?!"
As we all searched for the cure
We're trying to live respected lives
To understand rules and our wives
Life is for living don't you say
and all we've got is just today

TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU
We went up Pu'u O Kona
A real great bunch of guys
Hiking, climbing and walking along
Reached the top, found clear skies
Saying ooh, ahh or somesuch word
Breaked for lunch and laughter
Refreshed we set off down the trail
We'll show the photos after
Leader of the bunch - CRider
Had hid a cache up there
He called it "Triple Dog Dare You"
I think the name was fair
It was one of those special days
The kind we all remember
I'm thankful for Geocaching
It's great to be a member

Geocaching is not a hobby, it's a lifestyle!
I love the outdoors... the mountains, the sea, sharing time with my wife and friends.
That's why Geocaching has become more than a hobby, it's become my lifestyle. I have only found #140 hidden treasure boxes of others, a small number compared to many other players and now have #13 of my own out there. I, of course am Menehune Man. The sport only takes a handheld GPSr unit and a willingness to explore.
Life's either an adventure or your not a Geocacher!
WE ALL SEEM RATHER SMALL...
We all seem rather small
in the scheme of things
Obviously going nowhere
just back and forth on swings
I believe that conformism
makes for lost and empty lives
Using untruthful happy faces
to hide the misery in our eyes
One key could be contentment
another may be striving
For anyone to feel of purpose
We must help our fellow being
Maybe we can't save the world
but can change the lives of some
By just sharing what little we have
and by calling him brother, not bum
